the students of springville are returning to school today, and the lucky ones will find themselves sitting in one of the perfectly aligned rows of tiff's classroom. tiffanie is an amazing teacher- students, faculty, and parents love her alike. she has a gift for motivating even the most incorrigible students. she is the reason i am going into teaching. i'm hoping the talent is hidden somewhere in the genes.
in addition to her full schedule of english classes, tiff will be mentoring a handful of new teachers and interns, heading her department, leading multiple school committees, and tackling her newest task- journalism. oh, i almost forgot, she also rescues children from burning buildings.
so good luck to my big sis as she starts her tenth year teaching, even though i don't think luck has anything to do with it.

1. You are far too generous.
2. You shouldn't say things to make me cry. Especially when I'm getting less sleep that I've become accustomed to. :)
3. You will be a much better teacher than me--you're a lot more creative, and you have a much better understanding of what struggling student need than I do.
I love you Marisa.
PS. I'm not department head anymore--wahoo!!
What loving tributes between two loving sisters!! Now you're making ME cry!! Tiffany, she's NOT too generous. You know as well as I do that Marisa is, whenever necessary, BRUTALLY honest!! She SHOULD say things to make us cry. She will be an EQUALLY fantastic teacher. (Both of you blessed with different parts of the creative genius!) Wow! How blessed I am to have you both in my life!!! Have a great school year, Tiffany. You too, Marisa. I love you both. Give my love to Brian and the kids.
I hope your 1st day was great today Tiff! I know Risa is right- those kids are lucky. Love you, Karen
