my friend is my daddy!! i lov he!!
i asked mia the question that everyone has been asking me this week: how was first grade? her answer: totally awesome. beyond that, she offered no particulars. it felt like i was prodding a teenager for details, with the eye rolling and all.so, how was it for me? strange. i set out three breakfast bowls in the morning, temporarily forgetting that mia had finished her oatmeal and been at school for an hour. then, while picking out miley's cloths for the day, i instinctively reached into mia's side of the closet and retrieved a skirt before remembering that she'd been wearing her uniform for hours.
the babies missed their big sister. they greeted her with enthusiastic yelps and hugs as mia showed me her writing worksheet: a picture of her and her best friend covered in hearts. making my day totally awesome too.

I love this!!!! What better thing to see than "daddy" is my best friend? So sweet. I am so glad she is liking 1st grade. Totally awesome is pretty high praise. Hope you guys get used to the quietness again.
Of course Mia thinks 1st grade is awesome. :)
I hope she continues to love school as much as she does now--sadly that love of school gets beaten out of kids before they get too old.
And I love that Brian is her best friend. So freaking cute!
