2009 holiday card

every time we take family pictures, i promise myself that i am going to relax and enjoy the process. and every time i leave frustrated and convinced that we didn't get a single good shot. then chelsea sends me an online gallery that inevitably brings me to tears.

this year's card was well received (unlike last year). my dear aunt adline even liked it. my funny-man father-in-law did ask if our washer and dryer were broken. while grandma tish paid our talented photographer the highest compliment when she said that the picture was "so you guys." because, in my opinion, that is what makes a picture great- when you can capture people the way they are. and nothing depicts my life quite like disobedient children and laundry.
