to toil

before
during
toil (noun)
1. hard and continuous work; exhausting labor or effort.
2. how brian spends his spare time.

please direct your attention away from the patchy/weedy lawn and toward the beautiful fence/rv gate that brian just finished. we still have a lot of planting to do in the front, but it will have to wait until spring. the winds are a commin! i noticed that this space has been unusually void of cute little kid pictures. i'll have to do something about that soon.

not now though. must................................read.............................beowulf.

Beautiful!! It doesn't even look like the same place. I knew when we walked through that you guys would be able to do it, but it has far surpassed any of my expectations. Wow!

And good luck with Beowulf. YUCK.

Brian and Risa, You both never cease to amaze me and how creative you both are. The swing, the fence, the yard are terrific. Don't you love spending time in your swing, reminds me of our days in LaPalma spending time on the front porch glider. Reminds me of growing up in Dallas on our front porch and sleeping on the roof of that front porch at night to cool off in the summer since we had no central air, window units of even box fans, those were the days. Love you so much and miss all of you. Mom

WOW!! Way to go Brian! And Marisa. It looks so good. The fence looks amazing. It's so straight. I think I might have something that can go on it to add a little touch to it. (a little county touch)
Really, it looks great!

Seriously, A-MAZING. It looks so good. I know from helping my parents put in a yard last summer that it is just constant work. Only now, almost 2 years later are they finally getting their house/yard the way they want it.

Well done!!!

Also, I love the colour you chose for your house.
