1982 glo mom & baby me
27 years ago today the glo mom gave birth to me in the same orange county hospital where i would later deliver mia. like mia, i was brought into this world by the gentle hands of a mid-wife. a mid-wife that my mother thought had a beautiful name- marisa.
i like it too.

Happy Birthday Marisa!!!! Just HAD to stop long enough to post this!!!I have SUCH a lump in my throat as I look at this sweetest of pictures!! How BLESSED am I??? Words can't express that.....now the tears blur my vision as I remember so vividly the day, (right out in the street between our two HOMES), your beautiful mother introduced YOU (a most PRECIOUS bundle of goodness) to me!!!We would be forever connected by a bond so strong and permanent as to reduce the "blood" relationship to a mere word. Thank you, Gloria and Jim,(my FAVORITE neighbors of all time) for sharing your beautiful daughter with me. Marisa, thank you for loving me and allowing me to share so completely in your beautiful, loving, giving family. I'm so proud of the beautiful woman, wife, and mother that you are. Risa, This is the second time I have tried to publish a comment, can I tell you how much I hate computers.
It was a wonderful day back in 1981,Nov. 23,9am, when you entered our world with your thick head of black hair and those intense eyes that seemed to look right through me. Carolyn, thank you for the trip down memory lane. I vividly remember taking my baby, Marisa, to meet our new neighbor, it was 1982 and we only got as far as the middle of the street between our two houses, the beginning of an eternal friendship for our two families. Risa, over the last 27 years Carolyn, has always reminded me what a wonderful spirit you had and because of that I never wanted to break that spirit. Between the two of us, Carolyn and myself plus many, many others we have helped you to magnify that spirit. Thank you, Brian for being such a positive influence on my daughter and our family and for giving me the most georgeous grandchildren ever, Mia, Miley and Levi. Risa I am so proud of the wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend you have grown into. Love you all more than you will ever know. Glo Mom
